First Step: Check your eligibility
For undergraduate courses, passed or appeared in 2022 at the Higher Secondary Examination in the General or Vocational Stream under WBCHSE or its equivalent examinations (CBSE / ISC / other State Boards / NIOS) / undergraduate Programmes as prescribed from a recognised Board / University. Successful candidates once admitted in affiliated College or in the University, will have to undergo special prerequisite audit bridge programme, as decided by the University, if required. Students who are due to appear for Class XII final exams / awaiting results may be given provisional
For M.Sc. in Computer Science, Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Physics / Stats / Electronics or equivalent examination.
Second Step: Choose your program & check intake capacity

Third Step: Enquire at our admission help-desk
You can visit our College campus for admission and course related enquiries. You can also submit your queries online directly through the website. There is also a Live Chat option in the website via which you can ask your queries and interact with our counsellor.
Post enquiry you can avail a free counselling session with our counsellors. All your queries will be answered via phone call / mail / face-to-face interaction.
Fourth Step
Apply for CET online at the MAKAUT website, i.e., wbut.ac.in. Taking the CET is mandatory for all abovementioned courses under MAKAUT.
Fifth Step: Admission
After obtaining all the required information for a specific course, fill and submit the admission form at the campus.
Payment Method
Directly can be paid at the campus (cash/cheque) or via Demand Draft.
Online Payment can also be made via NEFT/IMPS/RTGS
Documents required at the time of Application
(Needs to be submitted to the Counsellors at the campus and not online)
1. CET Admit Card / Rank Card
2. Self-Attested Copy of Class X and Class XII Admit Cards
3. Self-Attested Copy of Class X and Class XII Marksheets
4. Self-attested copy of Birth Certificate / Xth Admit Card
5. Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card
6. Self-attested copy of Caste Certificate for other than general candidates 2 copies
7. Two passport size photographs
8. Self-Attested copies of Passport / Visa in case of foreign students
